Liz Crocker, MEd, lives in Nova Scotia and is Vice-Chair of the IPFCC Board, member of the Saskatchewan Health Quality Council, and co-author of Privileged Presence. In this series, Liz is facilitating informed and important conversations with a variety of leaders who have influenced health care and who have been champions for patient- and family-centered values and have made change when it has mattered. Learn about the mentors and circumstances which have shaped these leaders. Listen to their greatest challenges. Hear both their cautions and encouraging advice for the future.

On Thursday, March 27, 2025, 1pm ET, Liz Crocker will be interviewing Anne Lyren, MD, MSc, Clinical Director for Solutions for Patient Safety National Children’s Network. The title of their conversation is, “Partnering with Families for Safety: An Evolving Journey.”

Dr. Anne Lyren is a seasoned healthcare executive with over 20 years of leadership experience. She specializes in collaborative healthcare transformation, driving breakthrough results in patient safety and organizational culture. As the founding leader of the Solutions for Patient Safety Network, she united 150 children’s hospitals, achieving significant harm reduction and cost savings. Her expertise includes strategic planning, quality improvement, and talent development. Dr. Lyren is a skilled communicator and passionate learner, committed to fostering diversity and equity while empowering teams that include patients and families to achieve exceptional outcomes. She has also held leadership positions at UH Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.

The Leadership Series webinars will be an hour in length and will provide opportunity for participants to ask questions.
