Fully partnering with patients and families in interprofessional education means involving them in 4 Key Elements. Each element is described and a “real-life” example 
provided from a hospital or other setting (Click on numbers 1-4 below).
As individual IPE programs for both students and clinicians grow, patient/family involvement may be extended to other elements, including admissions (interview and selection) as well as learning support and remediation.
